Cydia tweak Proton revolutionizes your music experience

Proton is a recently released jailbreak tweak that offers a sleek and unified design on-screen mini-player interface to control your currently playing music.

The tweak is said to be the biggest competitor to TinyPlayer which had only the Lite version been released so far. It is aiming at revolutionizing music experience wherever and whenever as desired.

Proton works on both portrait and landscape screen modes. The control is simple and intuitive controls with fluid animations. The built-in Activator support allows Proton to be invoked at any time anywhere with an assigned Activator gesture to toggle visibility and reset Proton’s position. You can also snap Proton to the edge of your screen if you don’t want it to be in the middle of the screen.

There are also handy gestures on the UI allowing easy control of Proton and music, for instance, single tap to play and pause, double tap to skip tracks and long hold to expand Proton UI size.

In Proton’s settings panel, you can change style, size, and behavior of Proton. You can choose Light, Dark or Adaptive style of the player interface that colorizes the UI of Proton by extracting colors from the album artwork. You can also customize visibility of the UI to be automatically hide when no music playing and auto-dismiss after a set amount of seconds. No respring required for any changes as they will be effective instantly.

Stephen, I know this is not about Proton, but not sure how else to reach you. I would like to suggest you do some investigative journalism on the “GS Magic” jailbreak team. Are they legit? Are these people calling themselves GS Magic the same people who did Nokia phone unlocks under that name in the early 2000’s like they claim? Was that team back then actually called “GS Magic” or is this history they tell fake? Is it possible to reach out to the correct Nokia hackers of old (if the historical reference exists) to ask/confirm if they are now behind a jailbreak effort. I am thinking the so called “GS Magic” team may not really have any connection to the earlier effort on Nokia phone unlocking, that this is some young kids that stole the historical name or that they even fabricated the “history”. What dirt can you dig up through investigative journalism?
