There has been overwhelming leaks recently from very trusted sources that are almost be able to complete the picture for the two iPhones to be launched later this year, including the 4.7″ iPhone 7 and 5.5″ iPhone 7 Pro or Plus, whichever name to be determined. In this post, we are going to recap the most possible leaks of iPhone 7 schematics and real prototypes and put them side by side for your better understanding.
The very early trusted leaked schematic of iPhone Pro or iPhone 7 Plus came from a Japanese tech site called macfan. It provides us with clear details on the design, dimensions, ports, buttons, cameras, all we need to know about the high-end iPhone Pro. There was no headphone jack which contradicted with some other reports claiming that the port still exist on internal parts leaked on Weibo.
After all, one of the most accurate and popular tech leakers, Steve Hemmerstoffer (a.k.a. OnLeaks), released several schematics (or renders) from insider that basically confirmed the exact design equipped with dual camera and Smart Connector which are exclusive for this 5.5″ inch model, along with no headphone jack, antenna curved around the border of the phone, that all match with the other rumor reports.
For the smaller 4.7 inch smaller variant of iPhone 7, from the leaked schematics earlier reported that it follows the same dimension as the current iPhone 6S, comes without Smart Connect, headphone jack and Dual-Lens Camera setup. The couple of prototypes leaked images tell the same story and counter-proven each others.
A while ago, uSwitch and OnLeaks shared a new 3D CAD render video that offers an all-rounded view to the schematics:
