Midpoint is a recently released jailbreak tweak by developer Brian Olencki from the Creatix Team that integrates your iPhone’s Homescreen, Spotlight Search and Control Center into a single redesigned, relayouted Homescreen for a more handy experience. Check out the video walkthrough below for better understanding on how the tweak works:
Midpoint maintains compatibility with stock iOS homescreen features including 3D touch, moving apps, and folders. Meanwhile, it adds a search bar to the top to Search Spotlight, which is a similar approach as Android, previews to the dock apps which looks quite similar to Auxo Legacy Edition, Control Center toggles and Music controls to the dock which is fully compatible with other tweaks like FlipControlCenter, betterFiveIconDock and Auxo LE.
In the Settings panel, you can select to show either or both Spotlight Search and Dock. You can also customize the dock to your liking on what to show on the left, middle and right pages. However, one major downside, as you may expect, is that you will need to respring to allow your change to take effect.
The developer has been diligently squashing out bugs and fixing issues here and there in the recent 2 iterations:
- Fix for more than 4 icons on Dock
- Better Springtomize support
- Temporary work around for 32 bit devices
- Added more settings.
- Fixed music controls issue with AuxoLE
- Fixed icon spacing on iPhone 6(s)+
- Fixed icons not in dock having previews
- Fixed .dylib issue giving people concern
Definitely check out this nice tweak on Cydia’s BigBoss Repo. You can get it for just $0.99.
