Last week I showed you how the Apple Watch will look like on a watch stand, which is just a showcase with a low-cost one. Today, I received a shipment of a leather band looks very similar to the Classic Buckle that Apple ships with the mid-tier Apple Watch. It cost me around 10% of the price from Apple, which is a good deal to try it out and imitate the feel.
One of the major reasons that I bought this band is that I feel much safer to have a watch band with a buckle. The Sport band is excellent, but I was always worrying dropping it when I didn’t click in tight enough. I put it on my Space Grey Sport and it looks quite appealing indeed. So this is how it should look like when you pair them up:
This band is made of cow leather. It feels comfortable on the wrist and less attached as the Sport band, despite the fact that the leather is not as soft as the genuine Classic Buckle band from Apple. But it will get softer as I use it more. And it does not look cheap either and not easy to distinguish and flaw from a distance.
The adapter is stainless steel and quite well polished. It fits perfectly with appropriate tightness with the Apple as if it comes with it. This is impressive and as well relieve my worry before.
One major downside is the color of the buckle. It is gold in color in which I am not a fan of it. But it won’t bother me too much as I won’t be seeing it as frequent as the watch face.
On another hand, I am expecting a metal link band from Monowear that will probably arrive next week. I will post a review on the blog. Stay tuned!
Edit: Here’s where you can get it from. Probably ships to overseas as well.
