Scanbot for iOS updated with Wunderlist integration and redesigned smart naming feature

Scanbot for iOS has just been updated to version 3.7 in the App Store. There are quite a few new features being introduced in this update which makes document scanning, saving and sharing easier.

The first major new feature is integration with Wunderlist. As you may have known that I am a premium user of Wunderlist and this feature will allow me to upload scanned document to my Wunderlist account and set reminder to alert me to work on the document. This is a ready handy, useful feature for improving my productivity in dealing with documents.

The second new feature is redesigned smart naming feature. Now when you tap on the edit button on the document title, you will prompt to a screen to pick among some keywords that the app suggests to you, including nearby places, location, document type, calendar, date and time, etc. So from there you will never going to forget which exact store you get an receipt from, for instance. Of course, you need to be a Pro user which you can unlock in-app for $4.99 (I got it for free in a festive promotion last year). And you have to turn on location services and allow access to calendar in order to fully utilize this feature.

Here is the complete change log for Scanbot Version 3.7:

For all users:
– Slack integration to directly upload Scans and comments into your conversations
– Integration of Wunderlist as an upload destination
– Improved and simplified manual sharing
– Many functionality and speed improvements

For PRO users:
– Completely redesigned smart naming feature
– The additional reminders service is here: Wunderlist
